Artist Statement
Recent themes in my work investigate what queer identity and spirituality look like when built on the remnants of a catholic upbringing. As I dismantle learned structures and harmful cycles, I also revisit ones long abandoned. From these ruins, I imagine uninhibited creation, growth, and connectedness. Currently, I communicate these themes through symbolic imagery through a range of print methods, including intaglio, lithography, and monotype. These works are to evoke dream-like worlds where one can submerge into the familiar and the strange.
